The use of magnets started around 4,000 years ago as a natural form of treatment for many different health concerns. During the early part of the 20th century, physicians would use magnets, to help patients who have neuralgia and sciatica. In more recent times, these magnets have now been used to test their powers of use on pain relief, and patients who have osteoarthritis as well as fibromyalgia. It has also been used in healing wounds and diabetes.
The Theory of Magnetic Therapy and How It Works
When the body has an injury or infection, the general response to that is inflammation. The white cells in our body will try to fight the infection or the injury. However, the white cells may produce extra fluid, which can cause swelling, and in some cases it may cause arthritis, and fibromyalgia, and many patients end up being chronic.
The Theory of Magnetic Therapy has believed to have helped in the areas of circulatory system. The Theory of Magnetic Therapy, suggest that magnets will attract the different metal particles that are in our blood that contain iron, so when these magnetics are used on our skin, the magnetic field will reach the tissues and our blood stream. Where the magnets are placed on our body, they are supposed to increase the flow of our blood, and in the end increase how our oxygen level is distributed, and the nutrients to our organs.
Where the injury is, will receive the fresh nutrients and oxygen that it needs, as well a boost of endorphins, which are said to heal the ailments which can help reduce the level of pain. The cells in the body contain ions, which can be positively or negatively charged, these ions will ignite the electro magnetic pulses. If these cells are sick, then the ions will be distributed, and will then cause the cellular imbalance in the body. When you apply the magnetic stones over the parts of the body that are injured or sick, these magnets will help bring back the ions into its alignment.
The Theory of Magnetic Therapy In Aliments
These magnetic stones have been used in a number of ways to treat ailments, these include arthritis, chronic fatigue syndrome, bowel disorders, fibromyalgia, diabetes, high blood pressure, migraine headaches, insomnia, poor circulation, sciatic and spondylosis.
The interest into The Theory of Magnetic Therapy has increased a number of developments into the areas of devices that are created to help with pain relief. Just like with regular medicine not everyone will respond to magnetic therapy the same way.
The Different Magnets
There are many types of magnets used. One of these magnets that are is ferrite magnets: these are generally used in wraps for healing, magnetic bedding, and in some insoles in shoes. Others include neodymium which is rare earth magnets: these are smaller and are lighter in weight then the other magnet that has been just mentioned. These types of magnets can sometimes be found in jewelry that are magnetic, as well as bedding and wraps.
