Prevention Is Better Than Cure

Prevention Is Better Than Cure
 by: Shahana Yasmin

How many of us have heard that statement yet do nothing to make it real. We wait to be told that we have some kind of illness or disease before we start looking after ourselves, I'm sure you would agree that this method of realisation can often come too late (especially for those who are only given narrow options of treatment through conventional medicine).
We live in a society full of information channels yet we just have to open our eyes and take action. It's all good reading the information but if we fail to apply the knowledge what use is it?
Did you know that there are known carcinogens (cancer causing agents) in a lot of personal care products, shampoo's, toothpastes, moisturisers, I was shocked to find this out! With so many toxins in our bodies, and through our eating habits (fruit and veg sprayed with chemicals & pesticides), it's no surprise we have all sorts of illnesses and diseases affecting our lives.
(If you have a car and you keep feeding it fuel that is unsuitable for it's kind, it may get you from A to B a few times but eventually it will clonk out).
We are a society that is so well fed yet the food we eat is so nutritionally depleted. We could sit back and blame and talk about how bad the situation is (and do nothing more) or we can become the change we'd like to see in the world and in our future.
It is said that 1 in 2 people will have developed Cancer at some stage in their lives by 2020.
I choose to be in the percentage without Cancer. I have been fortunate enough to have been touched by beautiful/passionate people who have shared their knowledge with me and enriched my life with food for thought.
You have a choice too........
I would love to hear from those of you who would like to make that transition to good health, disease prevention and personal fulfilments.
Live life with Passion
