Putting Your Best Face Forward: Help for Men.s Skin Care Problems

Unique merits define individuals. The merits of unique botanicals define Bullie, a revolutionary men's skin care method. With specialized cleansers, after-shaves, balms and scrubs, Bullie products are customized to meet the needs of three distinctive skin types: all skin/combination, normal/oily and sensitive/dry.
Combination Skin
Combination skin is medially diagnosed as higher level of oils on the T-Zone (forehead and nose) and a degree of dryness on the rest of the face, cheeks, and jaw line. To help keep the face healthy without causing added dryness or oiliness, certain steps should be taken.
There is a long list of enemies that, over time, can damage the face and aggravate combination skin. Exposure to wind and sun are primary but stress, pollutants, petroleum-derived products (mineral oil, etc.), and the natural aging process all contribute.
Most of the time men tend to assume any product will help alleviate the problem. In actuality, using a specially formulated men's moisturizer is best for several reasons.
The pH level of men's skin and women's skin is different. Bullie men's moisturizer was developed with the proper ingredients to effectively hold moisture in the skin without adding to oiliness. Bullie's men's moisturizer contains effective levels of vitamins such as A, B, C, E, iron, and copper that can help contribute to a great complexion. Chamomile, wheat germ, and other natural elements help to add moisture back into your skin, too.
It's best to apply lotion within a few minutes after showering when skin is more accepting of moisturizers. A consistent routine of applying a men's moisturizer daily can have a dramatic impact on the skin's overall look and feel.
Bullie also offers men's cleanser and men's post shave lotions especially developed to promote overall skin health without the normally-associated drying effects.
Of course, diet plays a major role in how skin looks and feels as well. Eight glasses of water are recommended per day.
Dry/Sensitive Skin
There's really no wonder that so many men have dry or sensitive skin. Showering with deodorant soap and daily shaving can easily cause stinging, blotching, and redness of the face.
Again, look for and use products developed just for men when possible. Men's cleansers will have the correct pH level for skin (just like men's moisturizers). So will men's post shave lotions. But that alone won't guarantee help for dry or sensitive skin.
Based on the Bullie philosophy, products are primarily free from dyes, alcohol, and fragrances. Other men's cleansers will sometimes include alcohol as a main ingredient. Men's post shave and toner is also likely to have irritating dyes and fragrances. The carefully chosen, natural ingredients in Bullie men's skin care products work better and are much easier on skin.
Bullie men's cleanser is uniquely designed to revive collagen production and rid free radicals without exacerbating the problems men with dry or sensitive skin face. Bullie men's moisturizer offers a combination of aloe, sandalwood and other exceptional agents to restore moisture without adding shine. Bullie men's post shave for dry/sensitive skin gives the advantage of reduce free radicals and bacteria while actually healing and replenishing the skin instead of drying it.
Normal/Oily Skin
Perhaps the number one problem in men's skin care is that of excess oil. This can lead to acne breakouts and, in some cases, acne scarring. Keeping skin clean and moisturized is a primary way to prevent breakouts in any skin type. By using men's skin care products made for normal or oily skin, the prevention of acne, blackheads, or other blemishes (and the scars they may leave) is more likely.
Men's cleanser for normal/oily skin by Bullie contains papaya enzymes and silk amino acids to gently exfoliate skin and wash away impurities and excess oil. The men's moisturizer contains lecithin and Vitamin E along with other natural ingredients to further help with the exfoliation process while restoring balanced moisture to the face. Bullie's men's post shave prevents the advancement of free radicals and acne causing bacteria with powerful alpha hydroxyl acids.
Overcoming the three biggest men's skin care problems can be a simplified process if you take a new approach. Focus on what your skin needs instead of what's the most convenient product to grab from the shelf.
Want help with overcoming the three biggest men's skin care problems? Bullie offers quality products developed especially for men that cleanse, sooth, protect and polish. Made from natural ingredients, Bullie products for men are available at better retailers or online at http://www.bulliecare.com/

Lipo Boom Reality

Are you feeling down and out? Do you feel even worse when you look in the mirror? Cosmetic surgeons tell us you are not alone. They say the popularity of reality television shows like ABC TV's "Extreme Makeover" has led to an increasing boom in cosmetic surgery. You may be one of the many people who are not happy with the way you look. Look in the mirror right now and tell me what you see. Do you see flabby thighs, a sagging chin or a tubby tummy? If so, then liposuction could be just what the doctor ordered.
Liposuction is also known in the medical arena as lipoplasty or "lipo" for short. Lipo surgically removes excess fat from deposits beneath the skin in many areas of the body. The procedure sounds like it hurts. Surgeons use a hollow stainless steel tube called a cannula. The cannula is hooked up to a vacuum. It is inserted into an incision in the skin. Fat deposits are then gently sucked out of the body.
"It didn't hurt at all," says 25-Year old Jenn Rogers. Rogers is the mother of three year old twins. She decided to have lipo to get her post baby abdomen back. She says, "I tried so hard through exercise and diet to do it. But, nothing I tried would work." Liposuction is quickly becoming one of the most popular forms of cosmetic surgery for that very reason. It targets the areas of fat we'd like to shoot away. It is commonly used to reduce fat in the abdomen, hips, butt, thighs, chin, neck, back, chest and arms. Can you believe that doctors also use lipo on the knees, ankles and calves? As you can see, liposuction will work on just about anywhere you see fat and want to hide it!
It sounds like it hurts, doesn't it? Well, the amount of pain depends on individual circumstances. Liposuction can be achieved painlessly by local or general anesthesia. However doctors consider liposuction a mild surgical procedure. It is performed using a general or local anesthesia. A heavy IV sedation is also used in some cases. Recent advances have done a lot to ease the pain. Doctors can now precisely target fat areas which help to reduce recovery times. Despite the recent popularity, lipo has actually been around for more than a decade. "I had my first liposuction in 1992. It was before anyone even knew about it. I wanted to reduce the signs of aging in my face," says retired school teacher, 69 Year Old Rebecca Long. The grandmother of three has had three additional procedures since then. She laughs, "People now confuse my daughter with being my sister. I don't know if that's good for her, or bad!"You may be wondering whether liposuction is for you. Some folks figure if they have the greenbacks then they can do it. But, whether you have the money to pay for it is just one of the factors you should consider. It is important that a surgeon be board certified for the technique that they are going to use. You'll want to look at his or her experience and safety record.
Liposuction is not risk free. There are many things that can go wrong. Complications can occur due to a poor judgment on the part of the doctor. The better educated you are on the procedure, the greater you chances of spotting a problem before it occurs. You should be concerned about disfiguring skin irregularities that can occur if the surgeon tries to take too much fat away in one procedure. The use of a large cannula can also affect the outcome of your procedure.
Large cannula's remove fat quickly. However, they are more likely to lead to skin irregularities then small cannulas do. Small cannulas are less than 3 millimeters in diameter. There's a strong chance you'll need a large cannula depending on the amount of fat you need taken away. Surgeons use the small cannula's during the Tumescent Procedure. The American Medical Association says this technique when used with local anesthesia is the safest. Under this method, the diluted local anesthesia lasts for hours reducing the need for narcotic pain relief. Doctors say there have been no reported deaths under this procedure. In addition, even if it's used with general anesthesia, Tumescent Procedure is safe if there's no large fat removal.
There is another surgical method that utilizes a modified version of the Tumescent Procedure. This modified version combines local anesthesia with general anesthesia or IV sedation. General anesthesia and IV sedation may be dangerous when used alone, just imagine the danger when they're put together. As a result, an anesthesiologist must be on hand to handle the administration.
You'll also want to make sure that you don't have any other surgical procedures the same day as your liposuction. You'll want to avoid long term exposure to anesthesia because it's dangerous. Taking away a large amount of fat can lead to serious complications. Also, removing an excessive amount from too many areas can also be dangerous. You'll also want to make sure that you don't have any other surgical procedures the same day as your liposuction. Healing can occur quickly thanks to all the advances in liposuction.
Liposuction recovery times are shorter today than a couple of decades ago. You can return to a normal lifestyle within four after surgery with most procedures. However, a little bit of local anesthetic remains in your system. It is later absorbed into the blood stream. Would you believe that draining the anesthetic solution out of your incision actually speeds your rate of healing? It also reduces swelling and bruising after surgery.
Drainage is also speeded up by leaving the incisions open instead of closing with sutures. Your surgeon can also make tiny holes in your skin to force drainage. Your surgeon may also encourage you to spandex clothes to promote more drainage. Your surgeon can also drain it through absorptive pads that are placed over your incisions. Despite the surgical concerns, liposuction is changing lives like Jenn and Rebecca's. It can improve body posture and image ultimately leading to a happier, healthier, you.

Botox Toxin Not So Toxic

The Botox toxin is not so toxic if you're trying to take the crinkle out of your wrinkles. The clostridium botulinum bacteria produce Botox. Now you see why we call it Botox for short. The protein toxin is being used around the world to help produce a healthier, more youthful appearance.
It's not surprising that we develop wrinkles, as we grow older. Every time we smile, frown, cry or laugh we make an imprint on our faces. If we're lucky, it takes years before we can visibly see the imprint. If we're not lucky, then the wrinkles are more obvious than we'd like. Whichever is the case, the wrinkles inevitably surfaces and when they do Botox is here to fight it.
Botox works hard to eliminate the wrinkles that occur when we use our face muscles too much. "I remember when I was growing up, my mother use to tell me not to frown. Never, ever did she tell me that I'd end up looking like this," says 55-year-old Gladys Rhome. Rhome had botox injected into the laugh lines around her mouth. She is very happy with her first treatment of Botox. Now, six months later she is coming back for more. "It helped me to get rid of lines around my mouth. It's time for me to get rid of the lines on my forehead as well, she laughs.
The FDA gave Botox the okay for use in April 2002. Since that time Botox has proven safe in getting rid of our most hated facial wrinkles. I'm talking about wrinkles like the laugh lines Gladys Rhome suffered from as well as frown lines and crows feet. Doctors have been using Botox for more than ten years and so far they've seen no serious side effects. "I had a little swelling after my first treatment," says 42-year-old Sara McFarlane. She is a Botox pro. McFarlane has received three Botox injections in the last two years. She also plans on one day having a Botox party. Hosting a party is one of the ways some folks are spreading the good news about the wrinkle-crinkle Botox.
Whether you do it alone, or with a group of friends you would be surprised to see how relatively easy the procedure is. The Botox injection is placed directly into the face muscles that create wrinkles. "All I felt was a little pinch, then numbness. The numbness went away after a couple of days," says McFarlane. She may have gotten use to the numbness, but it's very hard to get use to not frowning.
Botox can prevent you from frowning and some people don't like that. However, most people can live with the side effect. "At first it was pretty odd, but I grew to accept it," says 44-year-old Rebecca Stanton. Stanton has used Botox on and off for the last three years. She's used it so much that she can't remember how many times she's been injected.
Botox took away Stanton's frown and it could take away yours as well. A tiny needle is used to place Botox in a muscle along the wrinkle line. A small amount of Botox basically renders the face muscles helpless. The amount is so small that you don't have to worry about it spreading through your body. Your lines will diminish and in some areas disappear altogether.
You may experience a little localized pain, tenderness and bruising in the aftermath of the injection. Your muscles in the vicinity of the injection may also be a little weak. However some people see this as a minor annoyance. You can see the affects of the injection right away. "It was great! I got my injection on a Saturday. I went to work on Monday and everyone was talking about how well rested I looked. I didn't tell them I got a Botox," says 31-year-old Jessica Lake.
The treatment lasts approximately three months to six months. Most people will need another injection after that time. You can repeat the injection as long as you don't have any serious side effects. The two good things about a Botox treatment are that it can be repeated as many times as you like. And, the treatment takes less than an hour. You can literally do it on a lunch break from work. In fact, doctors say the more treatments you have the longer the lasting effects seem to be.
Botox is used in extremely small amounts and does not spread throughout the body. An allergic reaction is not very common. However there is the possibility that you may have a problem with a droopy brow or eyelid. It is not a problem that will not correct itself over time. Botox can be used by almost anyone. However you should not use it if you're are pregnant, breastfeeding or have a neurological disease.

Radio Frequency Energy Fans Thermacool

I guess you wouldn't think that radio frequency energy would be making waves in the beauty industry? But, it is. A device that uses RFE is being used in the Thermalcool procedure. If you don't know what Thermacool is, then you haven't had your ear to the station. Thermacool is the new non-surgical procedure that gives men and women a healthy alternative to surgical facelifts. The process tightens your skin by contracting the deep layers of skin. Thermacool is also known on the market as Thermalift and Thermage. Let's call it Thermacool because it sounds hip.
Two thumbs up! That's the rating The Food and Drug Administration is giving Thermacool. The FDA's approval is leading to the procedures widespread use. Doctors and their patients believe Thermcool irons out wrinkles and reduces sagging skin. The face is the best place to use Thermacool, however it is used on the neck and arms as well. It is a good treatment anywhere there is loose skin. Some folks are using it under the arms and to treat stretch marks on the abdomen and hips.
60-Year Old Lynn Shores had a treatment six months ago and is looking forward to having another one in about three more months. She says, "I was looking twice my age! I had the procedure done because I wanted to look younger and prettier in my face." Shores began to see results about two months after having the treatment. She is among a growing number of people who believe the benefits of Thermacool far outweigh the risks. Thermacool may cause some discomfort but the risk of surgery, anesthesia and scarring are less than with surgical procedures. In fact, some people say the procedure really doesn't hurt that much at all.
So you may be wondering how does it work? It takes anywhere from thirty to forty five minutes to complete the Thermacool procedure. Most patients' only need a topical anesthetic cream placed on the face. Your technician will do that about an hour before the treatment is scheduled to begin. Other people may need Valium or some other kind of oral sedative. "I was just so jittery about having it done, says 35 year old Marc Thompson. I didn't know if it would improve my appearance or make it worst. I guess men are just not supposed to try these things, but I took my wife's recommendation." Thermacool is not any different from any other surgical procedure if you need a stronger sedative, you'll need an anesthesiologist to administer the dose.
As I mentioned, Thermacool uses radio frequency energy to apply heat under the epidermis or top layer of the skin. The heat is applied directly into the dermis layer. The dermis layer is right under the epidermis. I could feel a warming on my face. It felt unusual. I couldn't do anything but lay still," says Tonya Morgan.
You'll want to lay still too as the heat causes the tissue in the dermis layer to warm up. This controlled heating of deeper layers of skin and tissue causes the skin to contract and tighten. This is known as volumetric tissue heating. There is some pain every time there is a pulse, but a cooling spray brings some relief after each pulse.
The volumetric tissue heating causes the collagen underneath the skin tissue to contract and shrink. At the same time, the top layer of the skin is kept cool by cryogen cooling. Cryogen cooling keeps the temperature on the surface of the skin cool while the dermis tissues are heated up. The heating action causes two reactions. The first result is an increased thickness in the top layer of skin. It's the heating that actually causes works to reduce the wrinkles.
The second result is collagen remolding and the production of new collagen. The skin continues to tighten over time as the skin heals. You may be able to see a difference in your appearance immediately. However, it takes most people up to six months to see a difference. It is possible for the procedure to be repeated again after six months. You should let your technicians take before and after pictures to help you see any subtle changes.
Now, you're probably wondering whether Thermacool, Thermage and Thermalift are right for you. Patient's who live on a pacemaker cannot undergo the procedure; it's just too risky. You may want to pass on the procedure if your skin is really, really loose. Surgery may be your only hope. However, Thermacool works best in combination with laser treatments, Botox, resytlane, and collagen injections. Traditional eye, forehead and eyebrow surgeries also work well with Thermacool.
Research shows Thermacool works! If it didn't the FDA wouldn't have given it a nod. Patients wouldn't have issued a strong endorsement either. "I've never felt better about myself. I know most people would be afraid to try a procedure like this, but not me! I'm all for looking younger and healthier. The best part is how good I feel about me," says Shores.

Mesotherapy vs. Cellulite For A Knockout

In the battle to look good, there's a cosmetic treatment that is going a few rounds with cellulite and small fatty deposits. Mesotherapy is knocking out fat and rejuvenating skin in people who give it a try. Chances are you're doing everything that you can to cut away cellulite and small fatty deposits. You're watching what you eat. You're using creams and lotions. But, nothing is working, right? Well, that's because cellulite is the heavy-hitting problem facing men and women alike. It is one of the hardest cosmetic problems to get rid of!
Gweneth Lowe is the mother of two children. She has been in the ring with fat for about five years. She works out in a gym three times a week for an hour. Still, she could not get rid of the fat in her problem area. Her thighs. 10 sessions with mesotherapy has given her the relief she's been working out for. Lowe says, "I've lost about three inches from my hips. My thighs have shrunk. I'm down to a dress size 6 and loving it!"
Lowe gained her weight and cellulite after having babies. However, doctors believe cellulite and small fatty deposits affects more than 90% of post-puberty women. Wow, I bet you can't believe it affects so many people! We don't have any accurate data on the number of men who suffer from it. Men just don't complain about it as much as women. Cellulite and small fatty deposits are seen as a "ladies problem." You can find the extra fat most commonly on the butt, hips, and legs. Overweight people are not the only ones affected by it. Skinny people can have cellulite and small fatty deposits as well.
You'll definitely know cellulite when you see it. It gives the surface of the skin a lumpy often-dimpled affect. Cellulite forms due to water retention in fat cells. The fat cells are surrounded by tissue. The tissue hardens forming a sclerosis. The result is the cottage cheese appearance on the outward layer of the skin. And fatty deposits form because of genetics. It's not your fault you have them. Mesotherapy helps to get rid of the fat to sculpt your body where it's needed.
More and more physicians are putting their money on mesotherapy as a viable means to fight cellulite and excess fat. Mesotherapy has been used in France for years. Dr. Michel Pistor invented it in 1952. However, the treatments popularity is just now coming to the forefront as a safe and effective cosmetic treatment. And it is used in dozens of countries by thousands of trained practitioners.
You may be wondering exactly how does mesotherapy work? It's quite easy. Let's look at the procedure.
The treatment sessions take only a few minutes. However, you may need several injections over the course of several weeks. Fortunately, the needle that is used is tiny. Doctors' estimate that four to ten sessions is enough to block your ability to store fat and stimulates your ability to burn it up. The drugs are injected into the middle layer of the skin called the mesoderm. That's where mesotherapy gets its name.
The drugs work together to break down fat faster than any other method. A licensed practitioner puts medication and vitamins into the middle layer of the skin using microinjections. The medicine helps to reshape the body. A single mesotherapy session can cost as much as $500 because of the amount of drugs that are used. The treatment uses drugs that are commonly used for asthma and high blood pressure.
Vitamins and supplements are also used to knock out the fat. Two drugs in particular are already approved by the FDA for use in other procedures. One of the medications is an asthma drug called aminophylline. A cardiac drug called Isopreteranol is also used on a widespread basis. Here's two other commonly used medications that are injected into your system. They're called phosphatidylcholine and sodium deoxycholate..
As I mentioned, you may have to go through at least three to five sessions before you see any results. The number of treatments depends on several factors including, the severity of the condition and the cause of the problem. Mesotherapy helps to improve the body in many ways. It improves blood flow to the area that's being treated. It dissolves excess fat deposits, removes hardened tissue and improves lymphatic drainage.
Now that you know how mesotherapy works, you're probably wondering how safe is it? It's safe according to the doctors and researchers who have trained in it. However some doctors are concerned about the concoction of drugs that are used together to eat away at the cellulite and small fatty deposits. Some say that the Food and Drug Administration should approve all the drugs that are used for use together. So far, they are approved for use apart. And a medical doctor is licensed to use medications as he/she sees fit.
A second concern is what happens to the fatty acids if they are not burned off? Where are they going? The ideal situation is for the fatty acids to burn off. However, a problem could arise if the fatty acids go directly into other tissue. This could lead to damage in the other tissue increasing the risk for cardiovascular disease and diabetes. Fortunately, none of these concerns have materialized despite hundreds of millions of treatments done around the globe. No wonder- for people like Gweneth Lowe the benefits far outweigh the concerns. She says, "I'm just happy to get rid of the excess fat. I eat right. I see my doctor on a regular basis for checkups. I'm happy with the results." You could be too! Mesotherapy gives you a viable option if you want to get rid of cellulite and small fatty deposits.

An ADD Case Study: What Does it Mean to "Fail"?

Josh is a client of mine who is a junior in college. He's very smart. He's amazingly smart. Talk to Josh for an hour and you'll know how smart he is. But if you don't know Josh and you look at his grades from previous semesters, you would probably guess that he wasn't smart at all.
Josh gets frustrated in school. He works hard, but often finds that the pressure of test taking overwhelms him, and his grades suffer for it.
Recently, Josh had a midterm in his Economics class. He knew it would be tough. He hates this class, but it's required for his Business major. He had one test in the class already, which he did not pass. For the midterm, there were 3 books to review, and pages upon pages of notes to memorize. But he was determined to get an A. Three weeks prior to the test, he began setting aside review time. He highlighted the books, and took notes on them. He rewrote his notes to memorize them. And he even formed a study group with some of his classmates.
The morning of the test, Josh felt good. He had plenty of rest the night before, he ate a good breakfast, and he was ready to ace his Economics test. He got to the classroom, ready to go, and when the test was handed out and he flipped through it, he froze. The test was four pages long, with short answer questions, math problems, and an essay. Even though he had studied so hard, Josh started to doubt himself. He did his best to push past the anxiety and overwhelm and finish the test. Then he went back to his dorm room and slept. He was physically and emotionally spent.
A week went by before Josh got his test back. It was a B. He had studied so hard, he knew the material, and yet all he got was a B. He was crushed. "I did the best I could, I worked so hard to overcome this test-taking fear, and I failed."
"What exactly did you fail at?" I asked.
"I got a B," he replied. "I put so much work into that test that I should have got an A."
For Josh, it was very easy to look at the situation and see failure. He wanted an A. He wanted to prove to himself, his parents, and his professor that he could ace this test. And Josh was so busy holding himself up to unrealistic expectations, that he completely missed his successes: He stuck to the structure that we created for him. He developed excellent study habits to prepare for the test. He got a B! He answered approximately 80% of the questions correctly, when just a month ago he wasn't passing the class.
I pointed this out to Josh and, although he listened, he only half-heartedly agreed.
Then, two days ago, I got this email from Josh:
"Dear Jen,
I got my philosophy test back today and guess what, I got an A-! I thought about what you said and realized that I have been doing really good studying this semester and I am doing better than I ever have. My dad is so excited about my B and A-. Thanks for pointing it out because sometimes its hard to see the good stuff."
I agree. Sometimes it is hard to see the good stuff - whether you're a student, an artist, an office worker, a business owner, or a parent. When that happens, look harder. Even if you "fail," you'll still learn something about yourself or the situation you're in. And if you're learning, then you're really not failing, are you...?
This story was shared with Josh's permission.

B Vitamin Hype: With Ambitions of Fighting Acne, Rosacea and Tumors, What Can This Vitamin Really Do For You?

Vitamin B is no small time player in the high stakes game of the beauty. Just take the case of pellagra for example. Pellagra is a life threatening skin disease characterized by dementia, diarrhea, and dermatitis that results from a niacin (B vitamin) deficiency. In the early 20th century in the United States pellagra plagued thousands of people in the South and Midwest. The condition was thought to be contagious until investigators discovered the underlying nutritional deficiency.
Even today, the importance of vitamin B is cultivating new roles in the world of beauty. Dermatologist Leslie Baumann, MD forecasts topical vitamin B and its multiple derivatives as key ingredients in future anti-aging products. For example, one derivative of the B vitamin niacin, nicotinamide, has been shown to improve the ability of the epidermis, the upper-most layer of the skin, to retain moisture. One study reports that topical nicotinamide, when applied to the skin for six days reveals softer, smoother skin with less dryness and flakiness, and a reduction of fine lines. Even more promising is its anti-cancer influences. For instance, when applied to mouse skin, topical nicotinamide produced a 70 percent decrease in ultraviolet-induced skin cancer.
Niacinamide, another byproduct of vitamin B, serves as an effective skin-lightening agent. In one clinical investigation, patients with hyperpigmentation applied a moisturizer containing five percent niacinamide. Four weeks later, computer analysis of the hyperpigmentation and skin color revealed a decrease in hyperpigmentation along with an increase in skin lightness. Topical niacinamide also exhibits anti-inflammatory properties, which makes it a potential treatment for acne, rosacea and any blistering-type disease.
Dermatologist Zoe Diana Draelos, MD, clinical associate professor of dermatology at Wake Forest University School of Medicine, Winston-Salem, N.C. is confident that praise for the therapeutic effects of niacinamide will continue to rise. Dr. Draelos hails, "Already, topical 4% niacinamide has been shown to be beneficial in the treatment of papular and pustular acne in a 4% gel, as well as the improvement of skin cancer and its anti-tumor characteristics".
Dr. Baumann cautions that the many versions of one vitamin can be confusing and recommends speaking with your dermatologist to ensure you are selecting the right vitamin product for your skin care needs.
While it's comforting to place a host of cosmetic aspirations in the latest beauty craze, Mother Nature's wisdom will never lead you astray. If you can't wait to get the benefits of B vitamins in your beauty cream, just go to your local market and help yourself to some chicken, tuna, potatoes, spinach, asparagus, black beans and watermelon. These are just of few of the foods providing bountiful servings of vitamin B. Remember, these scores of medical insights and promises started with a nutritional deficiency.

Is Penis Enlargement Safe?

Yes it is 100% safe, obviously you have to be careful and avoid the dangerous techniques. Apart from when I did weights and stretches I never had any injuries while doing the natural penis enlargement and the pills. Below I re-iterate the techniques to avoid.
Studies have shown that most men are interested in penis enlargement. In fact these studies show that most men are not satisfied with their penis length or their sexual performance. They are also dissatisfied with the firmness of the erect penis, but are unwilling to talk with their doctor about what they perceive as a problem.
Many men are convinced that their penis is not large enough to satisfy their lover. This leads to an overall lack of confidence when making love, and this lack of confidence often leads to a softer erection, which feeds the problem by often leading to feelings of inadequacy. This can even lead to relationship problems as these feelings take root and deepen.
Feeling that you are an unsatisfactory lover leads to a lack of desire to have sex, which the woman in your life may interpret as sexual rejection. This can lead to further misunderstanding regarding sex and the relationship, and often leads to serious problems between couples.
The adult entertainment industry is full of ads for products and programs for the enlargement of the penis. The products include pills, creams and sprays that claim they will cause penis growth. These claims range from the scientific to the outrageous. Below we talk about penis enlargement methods that DO NOT WORK:
Enlargement Creams
Over the last few years, advertisements have been popping up for creams that claim that they will enlarge the penis with regular use. Do they work? Medical evidence has demonstrated that no topical preparation can do more for you than to increase blood flow in the area, which may aid in other programs and may also assist in erection firmness, but these preparations can do nothing on their own to promote actual penis enlargement.
Penis Pumps
One of the most common product advertised for penis enlargement is the penis pump. It can be seen on sale on the internet, in adult bookstores and magazines, and even in drug stores. The pumps work by creating a vaccuum around the penis and bringing blood to the tissue. This can assist men with extremely poor circulation to have an erection.
There is no actual medical evidence that penis pumps cause any actual increase in the size of the penis. Some men may even find that if they use a penis pump over a period of time that they will be unable to get an erection without using the pump.
Using Weights
Men have used this method of penis enlargement for hundreds of years. Basically you hang weight from your penis in order to stretch it. Many ancient and tribal people practiced this method. Does it work? Over time, with regular use, you can achieve greater length using this method. The drawbacks include a thinner penis, and because of the stretched tissue, often less ability to achieve and maintain an erection.
This method can also cause decrease in blood circulation to the penis, which can lead to serious problems including tissue damage.
Enlargement Surgery
Surgery is a big step, and an expensive one. More importantly, it can lead to serious complications like infection. It can also lead to scar tissue formation which can cause a misshapen penis. A common form of penis enlargement surgery involves taking your body fat and injecting a small amount into the penis. This does not cause significant change in length, although it can make a difference in girth.
Some men have the connective tissue at the top of their penis cut, which does not actually enlarge the penis, but does cause it to jut further out from the body. Of course, having less support, your penis will not stand up as far from your body as it did previous to the surgery.
Penis surgery doesn't change your ability to get an erection, or the firmness of that erection. This is caused by blood flow in the penis.
Enlargement pills - 99% of these are rip-off pills which are nothing more than vitamin pills, some do work but be careful of which ones you do choose

Personal Lubricant Choices Affect Male Fertility

While scientific studies continue to tout the benefits of technology in assisted reproduction, relatively little is known about natural methods of fertility enhancement. The importance of the cervical mucus environment and it's affects on the function of male spermatozoa is underappreciated. In the absence of cervical mucus, or in the case of vaginal dryness, couples frequently resort to personal lubricants. In recent studies, some of the commonly recommended lubricants, like KY®, Astroglide®, and Replens® have been found to actually damage sperm, perhaps even at a rate that is equivocal to contraceptive Jellies (http://www.helpconceive.com/hc_underEffects.html). Brand new evidence from a comparative study presented at the Cojoint Meeting of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine suggests that only Pre-Seed® did not appear to cause significant damage to sperm.
In the first experiment, sperm was incubated for 30 minutes. Motility measurements were 66% in the lubricant-free environment, versus 2% for Astroglide®, and 64% for Pre-Seed®. In the second experiment, sperm were evaluated after 4 hours of incubation for damage to the genetic material and graded according to the DNA fragmentation index. Pre-Seed demonstrated the smallest effect with a 7% increase over the control (no lubricant).
The findings of this and other studies are significant. At the Saint Gerard Fertility Care Center, we always ask about personal lubricants and the only one that we recommend during the fertile time is Pre-Seed®. Another reason to use Pre-Seed is because Pre-Seed is also the only personal lubricant that meets physiologic pH and osmolarity requirements for sperm and may protect against the harmful effects of free radicals.
Recently I interviewed a woman who had been going to an infertility specialist for more than 10 years and after undergoing many medical treatments and surgical procedures with no pregnancies to show for it, she is now facing menopause. Interestingly, she and her spouse were using KY® routinely. In fact, they were buying it "by the box." She was surprised to find out about the effects of KY®.
We believe that combined with the monitoring of fertility and cervical mucus, Pre-Seed can be added to a program of infertility (when fertility is present and cervical mucus quality is poor) as a routine recommendation for assisting couples who desire to achieve pregnancy the natural way. At our center, we have an easy to learn protocol that combines the monitoring of fertility and the use of Pre-Seed for this purpose.

Managing Cravings with EFT

There are several ways to manage cravings including: Attempting to simply stop eating the food you crave (out of sight out of mind). Modifying your eating habits around a particular food, i.e. cut back on the quantity or how often you indulge. Use EFT to address whatever is driving you to this attachment to this particular food and end the cravings for good.
What Doesn't Work:
Stop Eating the Food you Crave
Eliminating the offending food entirely is rarely successful. We can only limit ourselves for so long before we go crazy, eating everything in sight to make up for the deprivation. This also introduces deprivation and control issues, which many have trouble with leftover from childhood. Would it be better to learn to enjoy your favorites without losing control around them?
Modify your Eating Habits
Modifying your behavior can be successful, but it can also be difficult because even though we want to change, it seems that despite our best efforts, we still find ourselves craving the same things, day after day. It is the "how" that stops us. How can we change a behavior that is a habitual response? How can we stop doing what we don't want to do? There are literally thousands of diet and weight loss books and most offer nothing more useful than the "eat less, exercise more" advice. If it were simply a matter of doing what we know we should do, there would be no obesity epidemic, but it's not that simple. We need to know HOW.
What Does Work:
Use EFT to end the Attachment to a Particular Food
EFT is often helpful to diminish or demolish the cravings. It can be your HOW. How to change habits that you want to be rid of, how to create new, better habits, that support what you want, instead of what you don't. EFT is simple to learn, and effective.
If you don't yet know how to do EFT, read this brief explanation, then download and print the worksheets, instructions and reminders all in one convenient PDF packet.
Stop Talking Yourself Into It
You've said you are going to stop nighttime snacking, and then the voices start, "I've been good all day, I deserve a treat, just one won't hurt..." You're basically talking yourself into it, and then you're off and running to the kitchen. Most of us find that once we say yes to that voice, there's no holding ourselves back.
As soon as you realize you are doing the "talk myself into it" routine, start using EFT immediately. Catching yourself in the act is difficult at first, but if you keep an open mind, you will start to notice. No matter where you are or what you are doing, you can instantly perform an EFT procedure on yourself, and get quick results. You don't need to wait until later, until the atmosphere is just right, or until you are alone or somewhere you can relax. You can do it while driving, you can do it in a crowd standing on the corner.
Examples of EFT for Ending Cravings
The first round you might notice the craving is somewhat reduced (or it could disappear entirely), but it will likely be lessened. Once you have done one round, re-rate your desire for the food, and if it is still high (more than a six), do another round of EFT right then:
Set-up: "Even though I still want to eat _________, I'm fine just the way I am."
Reminder: "Still want to eat _________."
While I'm doing the EFT round, I might find myself thinking things such as, "It's not that I want to eat them all, it's just that once I start I can't stop."
So, for the next round I'll use that statement:
Set-up: "Even though I can't stop eating cookies once I get started, I deeply and completely accept myself anyway."
Say the "even though" part with gusto, you really mean it! You are okay, just the way you are.
Reminder: "Can't stop"
This round might lead to, "That's not true, I can decide how much I want, I just don't want to limit myself," so the next round might be:
Set-up: "Even though I hate to limit myself, I deeply and completely..." or "Even though I don't want to limit myself," or whatever words fit your situation.
Reminder: "No limits"
Make this process yours and let your personal thoughts guide you. Doing this will help you unearth core issues and beliefs you may not have realized were there.
More often than not what happens with these simple and effective techniques is you will stop using them. Not because they don't work, but because they do. You will stop because you aren't ready to give up your eating habits - you like the food, you enjoy the taste, the pleasure you gain from the eating is greater than the pleasure you anticipate by making a change in your habits. It's as if you say to yourself, "Screw it, I don't care. I want it now, and I'm going to have it." Much like a small child, you are simply feeding your instant desire, and that's okay too.
Be gentle with yourself. Realize you will do this on occasion, and accept it. It doesn't make you a failure, it simply proves you are human. Accept yourself as you are. If you make a commitment to do the EFT exercises, even though you don't want to, you will reach success.
In my work reluctance to do something that will work explains why people continue to seek something new. They read new books, they try new diets (witness Atkins, now South Beach Diet), they ask each other (usually their overweight friends) what they are doing (why not ask someone without a weight problem instead?). The answer is they don't really want to make a change for the better, they just want the easy fix. Give me a pill, a simple food plan, make it easy for me, and I'll do it. I can keep on any plan for the short-term, lose some weight, then as I'm gaining it back I can just blame myself. It's my fault for stopping the diet. It's my fault, for not staying on the plan.
This is not a healthy way to live. Take back your power. You decide what you will or won't do every day. Stop giving that power to others - stop blaming yourself for not staying on someone else's plan, and make your own plan.
This is the single most important thing in anyone's change process: Realizing what you want for your health, your body, your life, is more important than what you get by the instant gratification.

Getting Kids Moving - Help for Overweight Teens

I recently read about a residential school program for overweight teens with a hefty price tag in excess of $5,000 per month. Whew, that should sweat off a few pounds just thinking about it. These programs rely on the same course as what is commonly recommended; a strict eating plan and increased activity schedule. Hopefully some counseling is offered, and college prep courses are the curriculum. But what of those kids? Are they getting a realistic head-start on a lifetime of healthier habits or are they simply doing what they are told, only to be fed to the wolves when they leave the safe environment of the school?
I tried to find stories of teens who had successfully completed these programs and gone on to healthy lives, and found none. What I did find were some other ideas, in case you feel you are at the end of your rope and don't know where to turn.
Exercise Should be Fun
First, get your child interested in some type of exercise activity, whether indoor or outdoor. Most overweight kids probably aren't too crazy about running and jumping up and down but what about bike riding? Another idea I'm wanting to try is hiking with a GPS (Global Positioning Satellite). If you like the outdoors, Geocaching sounds like enormous fun and anyone can do it. Adults are reporting losing 20, 30 or more pounds while they are out exploring the woods and hills in their surrounding area. Learning to use a GPS is educational (math, science, physics) at the same time.
I also recommend all parents get their kids into martial arts if they show any interest at all. Martial arts teaches kids discipline, respect for authority and builds self confidence and self esteem, and it has the added benefit of teaching self defense.
Talk to your kids. Find out what they may be interested in, and then explore the options together.
My son is a good example. He was never overweight but when he was 13 his skin tone was flabby. He didn't go outside much, preferring to play Nintendo, and was an excellent student so he studied every day. Luckily neighborhood kids invited him to start playing football, and today, five years later he's a senior in high school playing football and loving life. His body has shaped up nicely (he's still a young teen but now has muscles and an excellent skin tone). He's confident, well liked, and I have no worries that he'll continue with a healthier lifestyle from this point forward.
Before he took up football we bought him a bike which was rarely used. He has a skate board, a mini-scooter, and a pogo stick. We tried karate classes (sadly, he broke his wrist playing at school so had to stop, and then didn't want to return). Sometimes it takes awhile to find the right fit, but nearly everyone will feel better when they find a physical activity they like.
A search for "indoor sports Vancouver Washington " (without the quotes) gave me lots of ideas. If you live in the city, get out the phone book and/or search the Internet for indoor activities in your town. Here are a few I found:
Parks & Recreation:
http://www.ci.vancouver.wa.us/parks-recreation/about/faq/eastvancouver.htm
Vancouver Indoor Sports
http://www.indoor-sports.com/facility.htm which offers programs for adults and children
Sports Walking:
http://www.combose.com/Sports/Walking/ (this isn't a local site)
Books on Sports for Kids
The Ultimate Sport Lead-Up Game Book: The Very Best Skill-Building Games For Grades K-8 by Guy Bailey
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0966972716/
and The Ultimate Home school Physical Education Game Book: Fun & Easy-To-Use Games & Activities To Help You Teach Your Children Fitness, Movement & Sport Skills by Guy Bailey
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0966972740/
I also highly recommended DDR (Dance Dance Revolution), a video game that teaches kids dance steps as a challenge. Since you're moving while you play, those that get good at the game will also achieve excellent physical shape at the same time. There are clubs all around the world and many web sites devoted to the play and practice.
Finding something your kids will enjoy that keeps them active is all it takes, and if they are reluctant, I can tell you once the blood starts pumping they'll get jazzed. You may just find something you love as well. Don't be afraid to try a few different things before you find the right fit, and wait to buy expensive equipment until you know it's something you and your kids really love. You'll be saving an equal amount in less food, soft drinks and medical bills down the road. Get up and get moving and your kids will naturally follow your lead.

Do Low Carbohydrate Diets Lead to Weight Loss Success?

So your neighbor, office mate, best friend, whoever just lost 10 pounds in only two weeks following the latest in high protein low carbohydrate diets. And now you're thinking you should give it a go -- have even started the search for high protein low carbohydrate recipes?
True, high protein low carb diets seem to be leading many people to weight loss success. Trouble is, they seemed to do it 30 years ago, too. They were the rage in the early 70s, and look where many of us are today: growing fatter with each decade.
The bottom line: Diets -- low carb diets or not -- simply don't work for the vast majority of people. If that doesn't convince you, look at some of the reasons why high protein low carbohydrate diets seem to create weight loss success stories -- but really don't.
"I'm not hungry when I eat high protein low carb diets."
Many people say they feel more satisfied eating low carbohydrate diets. And indeed, studies show protein is the most satiating nutrient. Proteins and fat (which is usually in high protein low carbohydrate foods) cause your body to release cholecystokinin, a hormone that contributes to the feeling of fullness. Some protein in meals and even snacks may help us feel more satisfied and go longer between eating. But the key word is "some." We don't need an excess of protein, or low carb diets, to get these effects. By just eating balanced meals that contain grain/starchy foods, protein foods, vegetables and/or fruits and some fat, most people can achieve the same satiety. One other important note is that hunger control with low carbohydrate diets is often the result of ketosis (when your body burns fat for fuel.) Ketosis is very unhealthy, causing nausea, headaches, fatigue, even coma.
"Results are results – I saw successful weight loss, didn't I?"
Many people do lose weight on high protein low carb diets. Instead of fat, however, they're initially losing more water than anything else -- and it quickly returns once off low carb diets. They seem to see successful weight loss, too, because low carb diets restrict many foods, resulting in eating less than usual.
The big question is: Is it really successful weight loss if it doesn't stay off? For most people, if weight loss is achieved quickly and with a restrictive method such as a diet that does not allow for individual likes and dislikes, then the lost pounds will return, along with discouragement, defeat and even more pounds than before. What's more, high protein low carb diets may also increase risk for health problems such as osteoporosis, cancer, even heart disease. A healthy intake of whole grain foods, fruits and vegetables -- often on the "avoid" list in high protein low carb diets – appears to help reduce this risk, and is the mainstay of a sensible plan to achieve weight loss success.
Create your own weight loss success story.
Despite what you hear about high protein low carb diets, there's little evidence that weight loss success is truly (permanently) achieved. What's more, disordered eating behaviors are usually reinforced by high protein low carb diets, adding to the struggles that low carbohydrate diets and other diets are supposed to solve. Stop dieting now and start living a healthy lifestyle that truly leaves you feeling good!

Snoring- a Small Change Can Make a Big Difference

We all know how annoying snoring can be, both for the snorer and the partner. The effects and seriousness of snoring are becoming more apparent with snoring being linked to conditions like high blood pressure and coronary disease. The different types of snoring, range from a simple puff to a full on roar and there isn't one school of thought on the reasons behind snoring. Snoring, I believe, is a signal that the body's systems are out of balance. Finding which system is the difficult part. But correcting the balance may not take a huge change, take the example of Andy.
Andy was in his late 30s and had snored for several years. He's not quite sure when it started but of late the snoring had being a more regular event. He probably still wouldn't be aware of it, except it drove his wife crazy. Andy had always being active, not a football star but he liked to throw a ball around. If you asked a passerby, they wouldn't describe Andy as overweight but Andy freely admits putting on a pound a year over the past 10 years and plans to start shedding some of it sometime soon.
Every year Andy and the family, his wife and two sons go camping. They always go to the same camping ground every year and always get the same site, or there about, near the water and away from the highway. Andy doesn't believe a holiday should be hard work and the family doesn't lack for comfort with inflatable mattresses, electric cooler, color TV (just for the news) and a large three room tent. Now last year the shower block at Andy's end of the camp ground was under going a major renovation for the two weeks of Andy's holiday. It wasn't a major problem; it just meant that Andy had his nightly shower at the other shower block. But because Andy and his wife preferred that the boys didn't have to walk in the dark they showered a couple hours earlier than normal.
After a couple of days after arriving Andy's wife Karen noted that Andy wasn't snoring nearly as badly as he normally did. On past holidays even the boys would mention how annoying dad's snoring was. They too had noticed a more quiet night. Andy was pleased as he too had noticed that he awoke more refreshed in the morning and his mouth didn't feel like someone had left sandpaper in it. He didn't know what change he had made that brought this unexpected and pleasant result, but he suspected it had to do with his nightly routine, as this was the only thing that had changed.
Over the next two weeks Andy experimented with his routine and finally came to the conclusion that if he brushed his teeth several hours before going to bed rather than just before retiring he didn't snore so much, if at all, and he woke in the morning without his mouth feeling all dry.
That simple change has made a big difference to Andy and Karen. Andy deduced that when he brushed his teeth just before retiring, the toothpaste was making him a little dehydrated. It was enough to dry out the nasal passages and cause him to breathe through his mouth making the snoring noise. By brushing earlier he didn't suffer the same dehydration and was able to breathe through his nose the whole night through. Now Andy also realized that toothpaste alone shouldn't be able to have such a major effect. It was that his body was very near the balance point and the toothpaste was the final small push over the edge. Andy decided he was to close to that fine balance point and began to look at his whole diet. He has made some small adjustments to his diet. He has lost a little weight, but that's a bonus and he only now snores if he over indulges and that's usually when he catches up with college buddies twice a year.
The chance of eliminating your snoring by changing when you brush your teeth is probably less than one in a thousand. Andy's problem probably is your problem. The key is to find the system that is out of balance and work to set it right. You never know, you may only need the smallest of change. Is it worth the effort? You decide.

Glaucoma Treatment – Best Performed As Soon As Symptoms Develop by Kathryn Dawson

Glaucoma is a condition which has a number of causes but is mainly due to high pressure within the eye and/or damage to the optic nerve. In most cases this is a slowly developing condition, but the earlier your diagnosis the more effective the glaucoma treatment.

The optic nerve is the part of the eye that allows the brain to interpret the images that are seen. Some people may already have a weakness on the optic nerve and if you suffer from short sightedness or a member of your family has already been diagnosed with glaucoma then you may find that you are in a higher risk category. Symptoms included blurred vision and if left untreated, the condition can cause you to lose your sight.

In some cases, your eye specialist may recommend laser eye surgery although eye drops are usually the first type of glaucoma treatment that is tried. The eye drops are designed to open up any blocked drainage channels to allow the fluid to flow, or reduce the amount of fluid that the eye produces. Surgery is the next step if the eye drops have not helped.

Most treatments can be carried out under a local anaesthetic with a minimum of discomfort and disruption and you will find that it is possible to go home the same day, with just a few hours rest following the surgery.

If you have an attack of acute glaucoma, then you will find that hospitalisation may be necessary. This is a painful form of the condition and drugs will need to be administered and your condition monitored. The drugs given are designed to reduce the fluid production and allow it to drain more effectively. A surgical procedure can also be performed which helps to relieve the obstructions in the eye and this will be carried out by laser eye surgery. Do not be surprised if your eye specialist recommends having this procedure performed on both eyes, even if only one is affected. With one affected the other is at risk and this can help to prevent you from suffering another attack. A hospital stay will be short if you respond well to treatment.

Your eye specialist will ask you to return for a check-up within a few days of the surgery. This is to ensure that you are making the correct amount of progress and to give you the chance to ask any further questions that you may have. If you undergo surgery as part of your glaucoma treatment then you may find that you still have blurred vision for several weeks afterwards; while your eyes are still healing.

While laser eye surgery may be beneficial if you are suffering from glaucoma, refractive surgery will depend greatly on the type and stage of glaucoma that you are at. It is more commonly used to reduce dependency upon reading glasses, so if your eyes are in the advanced stages of glaucoma, this type of surgery will not be beneficial as during the surgery the pressure in the eye increases and you may already have high pressure levels. Each case must be taken on its merits; if your eye specialist feels that you would still benefit from this then it may be suggested.

If you catch the condition early and respond well to the glaucoma treatment then you should be able to carry out everyday tasks with little or no side effects. You may, however, require some vision aids. Your optician and/or eye specialist will be able to tell you more about the long term effects on your vision and give you some idea of what extra assistance, if any, that you will need.

Tranquility Of Mind With Cosmetic Surgery by Andy Guides Jr

Patients who choose to go through with cosmetic surgery may find themselves to be more outgoing, more confident and more personable after the fact. It can bring about feelings of looking younger, prettier and thinner on the outside, but the inside can change as well in a positive way.

Breast reduction and liposuction are very popular surgeries and can give back physical energy as well as a more positive attitude towards life. Benefits of cosmetic surgery can be a wonderful thing, giving quality of life and mounds of confidence.

It is difficult for a person to have life altering birth defects that cause others to look at them and cast judgment. As a result of this, the need is felt to change appearances to be better accepted and feel less singled out. If a higher self-esteem is brought about through cosmetic surgery, perhaps the choice to make surgical changes may be the right move.

It is difficult when life-altering birth defects cause others to look at them and cast judgment. As a result of this, the need is felt to change appearances to be better accepted and feel less noticed. If a higher self-esteem is brought about through having surgery, perhaps the choice to make surgical changes may be the right move to make.

A qualified cosmetic surgeon will be part of The Cosmetic Surgeons Directory and will be educated on the latest technology for their patients' safety. Plenty of research must be done before choosing the doctor who will do a surgery. This will significantly decrease the risk that is already involved in having a procedure done.

Doctors who are an experienced in cosmetic surgery will present good references and a proven track record. These should be the only choice when looking for a doctor. This is a major way to decrease risks that may be involved. Surgeons who are a part of The Cosmetic Surgeon Directory and only use the latest technology when performing surgery to ensure the safety of their patients.

When comparing the risks and benefits, one will find that the benefits far out weight the possible things that could go wrong. This isn't reason to put ones guard down, but at least worrying, for the most part, can be put aside.

If a set back or complications occurs during surgery, a reputable cosmetic surgeon will do everything possible to correct what is wrong within their power. Most things that can go wrong will prove not to be life threatening or permanent, however, it goes without saying that a small percentage of surgeries could lead to worse scenarios.

Throwing Light On The Key Origins Of Acne by Andy Guides Jr

There are many myths associated with acne. If you are suffering from this skin condition, deciphering between what is real and not can be very important. There are typically three deciding factors on what induces this skin condition. Over production of oil in the skin, agitation of hair follicles as a result of abnormal shedding of flaky, dead skin cells and the build-up of bacteria can all lead to this skin condition.

Although acne is typically associated with adolescents, it can occur in adulthood as well. This skin condition is the result of clogged hair follicles. When follicles become clogged with oil and dead skin cells, the result is irritated skin. How does this work? Well, each individual hair follicle is in someway connected to a sebaceous gland. This gland's job is to create oils. The medical term for these oils is sebum. The job of this oil is to soften your skin and hair through lubrication.

This oily substance moves along the hair shafts and out of the hair follicles for lubrication. When too much of the oily substance is produced and mixes with dead skin cells they mesh together to form a clog. This begins the formation of a skin condition.

The actual pimple you see on your skin is a direct result of this clog. This is because the mix of oil and dead skin cells push against the follicle wall, causing it to expand. You will then see the white head of the pimple. If the clog is exposed to open air and bacteria, a blackhead is formed.

If the clog happens deep in the hair follicle, as opposed to beneath the skin's surface a lump often will form. This lump is known as a cyst. This will show up on the skin often as a red bump, and does not have a white head. If you are wondering how sweat glands impact this skin condition, they typically do not contribute to the acne problem.

The factors which cause the increased production of oil in the body are not yet known. However, there are a few possibilities. These possibilities may include, but are not limited to: hormonal imbalance, genes, bacteria and the side-effects of some medications.

Often, people wrongly associate acne with poor hygiene. This is not true. Cleanliness is not the matter in this case. Scrubbing your face with soaps trying to get rid of the "dirt" may increase skin irritation. If you find that you cannot deal with your skin problem on your own, consult a doctor for further assistance.

3 Hemorrhoids Herbal Treatment To Cure Your Piles Naturally by Michael Lee

Getting hemorrhoids herbal treatment is one of the easiest and most economical ways to get rid of your problem down there.

Sure, there are available medical options to cure piles that make use of expensive equipment. Some even resort to surgery. But wouldn’t you want to avoid all those unnecessary expenses if you could?

I know I would. Read on to learn more about getting the right treatment for you.

Hemorrhoids Herbal Treatment # 1: Aloe Vera

If you’re dealing with a particularly itchy or swollen case of external hemorrhoids, aloe vera can help relieve the pain. It is, after all, known for its cooling properties.

In fact, aloe vera is also used to deal with nasty skin burns! In your case, the sticky gel-like substance from this plant can be applied directly on the area, making your situation less painful and more comfortable.

Aloe vera, more specifically the aloe vera latex extract, can also be consumed internally as a natural laxative. Just make sure you keep your intake to a minimum, as a small dose goes a long way!

Hemorrhoids Herbal Treatment # 2: Clover

People have been using sweet clover for a number of health problems, so it’s not really a surprise that it can even take on the issue of piles.

Simply bundle up some of these flowers with cloth, soak it in hot water and place on the affected area several times a day.

It’s a decidedly effective and easy way to get the swelling down. Keep in mind, however, that sweet clover is not meant to be used if you are pregnant.

Hemorrhoids Herbal Treatment # 3: Witch Hazel

If you really feel like taking the natural or alternative route, go ahead and use witch hazel. Not many people realize that this plant is commonly found in most hemorrhoid lotions and ointments.

Look for this plant in liquid astringent form and buy a pack of multi-wipes as well. Pour the substance into the wipes and use after going to the toilet.

Knowing about the right hemorrhoids herbal treatment can do wonders for your health. Of course, prevention is still better than cure.

Try to practice healthy eating habits to avoid constipation. It’s also a good idea to inform your doctor of your situation before making any big decisions. Let him know of your options and together, you two can come up with the best solution for your case.

Diet Programs And Meals - The Mangez! (Eat!) Diet by Levi Reiss

The Mangez! (Eat!) Diet was created by Guylaine Guevremont and Marie-Claude Lortie. It is based on listening to the dieter's hunger signals. They propose a varied nutrition in which no food is forbidden. You eat what you want, when you want, stopping when you are no longer hungry. Here are some of the diet principles.

Eat according to your hunger signals. Don't follow weight-loss diets. First of all, weight loss is usually limited to the short term. In addition, by depriving yourself of several foods you'll become frustrated, a sentiment that will affect your dietary behavior. Eat everything. As an example, you may eat French fries and then eat a light meal later on. If you don't eat when you are hungry you may end up eating more later on. Eat breakfast at most an hour after rising. If feel like it, eat a nutritious snack in the morning, afternoon, or before retiring. Be sure to get in the habit of leaving some food on your plate at lunchtime and suppertime. Those extra few bites will become excess baggage. Take up a physical activity, one that pleases you. Doing so is good for your health and will help you lose weight.

An advantage of the Mangez! (Eat!) Diet is its respect for hunger signals. This means you will acquire good eating habits. This diet is quite easy to follow; it is addressed to everyone who needs to lose weight. It is felt that there are no disadvantages to the diet.

Here are two sample menus:

Menu 1

Breakfast: Whole-grain bread. Jam. Fruit salad.

The mid-morning snack is rice cakes.

Lunch: Roast chicken. Green beans. French fries.

The mid-afternoon snack is an apple and a yogurt.

Supper: Green salad. Spinach ravioli with parmesan cheese. The snack before retiring is lemon sorbet.

Menu 2

Breakfast: A bagel with bacon. Grapes.

Eye Hospitals can routinely treat most eye conditions by Kathryn Dawson

If you find yourself having problems with your eyesight, an appointment should be initially made with an optician to have your eyes tested. It could be that you may now need to start wearing glasses, or for those of you who already do, a change in prescription may be necessary.

Those who have problems such as cataracts and glaucoma will almost certainly require a visit to an eye hospital. Individuals that need to consult prior to having procedures such as laser eye treatment may also visit.

Laser eye treatment is now an everyday procedure; we see adverts for various specialist eye hospitals that carry out this simple surgery. You may find having laser eye treatment much more cost effective than regularly having eye tests, and buying glasses or contact lenses.

The eye doctors can help and advise the best course of action for you depending on the severity of your eye problem.

There are two types of laser eye treatment, LASEK and LASIK vision correction, and depending upon the results of the consultation will decide which one of these two treatments will best suit you.

One of the best advances in laser eye correction, and now used in many eye hospitals is wavefront optimisation. The wavefront analysis the eye doctor will perform will show all the imperfections and irregularities that will need correction. This also ensures that your laser treatment is enhanced to give the best quality vision possible.

The LASEK laser eye treatment is the ideal solution for those whose prescriptions are small, meaning there are only slight imperfections in their eyesight, or who have thin corneas. LASEK, which stands for laser assisted epithelial keratomileusis, works by loosening the fine surface layer of the cornea (known as the epithelium) with some eye drops and folding it back. The laser then reshapes the surface of the cornea and repairs any refractive problem the eye may have.

The epithelium layer is then folded back to its original position and will take a few days to heal. This healing is done without the need for stitching in a natural way. A bandage lens is then used to cover the eye, and stays in place for as long as the eye takes to heal, which could be up to one week after surgery.

LASIK laser eye treatment is used to correct more serious vision problems such as astigmatism (curvature difference of the cornea or lens), myopia (near or short sightedness) and hyperopia (long or far sightedness). LASIK, which stands for laser in situ keratomileusis, works by creating a flap on the cornea using a blade or laser pulse. The laser is then able to reshape the stroma part of the cornea permanently before replacing the flap.

LASIK treatment has several forms, and so this procedure may vary. Some very experienced eye doctors may be able to perform the Advanced Surface Ablation form of LASIK which has no need to create a flap of the epithelium. The recovery period for this type of surgery is much longer than other forms and can take several weeks to heal completely.

After LASIK surgery recovery is normally rapid and often by the following day vision is completely restored. The surgery itself is often performed within seconds as the laser works extremely quickly to correct any eyesight issues.

There are many eye hospital centres operating both in the UK and abroad and all have specialist eye doctors who can advise which treatment (such as laser eye treatment) is required, expected recovery time and length of time of the procedure itself. For those who need correction in both eyes, these are usually done with about a week gap depending on procedure. This is to allow time for one eye to recover and heal before operating on the second.

The Benefits of Cosmetic Dentistry in the UK by Kathryn Dawson

In the last few years, cosmetic dentistry has become more and more popular throughout the UK. In Hollywood and other parts of the US, cosmetic dentistry has long been relied upon by actors and singers looking to create the perfect Hollywood smile. Since the price of various procedures and treatments have come down across the world, however, it is no longer the case that just the rich and famous benefit from these types of treatment. Now anyone and everyone can reap the rewards of cosmetic surgery. This article looks at all the benefits of having cosmetic surgery carried out.

Cosmetic surgery works

There is no doubt that cosmetic surgery is extremely effective at producing a dazzling smile. Chipped or cracked teeth can be replaced with brand new and totally real looking dental implants. Discoloured teeth can be whitened and brightened with a course of tooth whitening and completely crooked teeth can be replaced with perfectly straight and white teeth through the advent of porcelain veneers. There are many different options available if you want to create a truly dazzling smile. Cosmetic dentistry can repair damaged teeth caused by a trauma, aging, illness or abnormalities.

It produces psychological results

As well as the physical results that cosmetic surgery produces it also brings with it a host of psychological benefits too. If a person has suffered from bad teeth throughout their life, the chances are they will be quite self-conscious. Having cosmetic surgery done means that this problem is instantly removed and that can lead to a huge boost in confidence and self-esteem. When a person is unhappy with their appearance it can result in depression, even severe depression in some cases so by improving a person's appearance cosmetic surgery can really have an advantageous psychological effect.

It is accessible to all

Cosmetic dentistry is no longer the domain of Hollywood A-listers. Now everyone can benefit from a variety of procedures. Most regular dentists have the capacity to carry out tooth whitening procedures and dental implant surgery too so having it done is not difficult nor does it involve long trips to dentists located in far off cities such as London. Cosmetic dentistry is carried out throughout the UK so wherever you are located there will be a nearby establishment capable of carrying out whatever procedure you desire.

Cosmetic dentistry is cheaper than it used to be

The price has come right down of cosmetic dentistry. Although it may not be considered “cheap” by many, it certainly is a lot cheaper than it used to be. In the past treatments were often many thousands of pounds whereas now it is possible to have some dental implants for well under Ј5000. Tooth whitening in particular offers excellent value for money. It is even possible to get insurance for cosmetic dentistry so you should see what options are available to you.

The procedures are long lasting

Porcelain veneers and dental implants are both permanent procedures. This means they are unlikely to need replacing any time soon. This is not to say there won't be additional work needed in the future but implants and veneers should last decades before this is needed.

The recovery period is short

Unlike regular cosmetic surgery which takes months to heal completely, cosmetic dentistry heals quickly. The surgery is usually fairly quick and although there may be a day or two when the patient should avoid food and drink and may feel some mild discomfort, this soon passes.

Cosmetic dentistry in the UK is a popular way to improve teeth and overall appearance. Cosmetic dental veneers and implants are two popular treatments. If you want a bright smile but don't want to undergo surgery then teeth whitening would work well.

Cataract Operations – A Routine Surgery by Kathryn Dawson

Cataract operations are extremely common, although if you have to have the surgery you may be somewhat anxious. There is really no need to worry as surgeons perform this sort of operation every day.

Cataracts occur when the lens of the eye goes cloudy – like a pane of frosted glass – and vision is impaired a great deal. This can affect people of any age, although it is much more common in people over 60. Cataracts can be caused by age, although if they occur in younger people it could be due to an underlying medical condition such as diabetes.

Cataract surgery involves the removal of this cloudy lens and replacing it with a synthetic clear lens which then helps to greatly improve vision. This is the only effective treatment which provides long term benefits. With the latest advances in technology it is possible for cataract operations to be carried out as soon as the condition begins to impair your ability to carry out everyday tasks.

Prior to the operation being carried out, you will undergo a pre-surgery check to clarify the details of the surgery. This will be done on a separate visit to the hospital. The operation is usually carried out under a local anaesthetic, which means that you will be awake but will feel nothing. There will be somebody with you to explain what is happening and while you may be aware of some movement, you are unlikely to see any real details of the operation. Some people undergo the operation with a general anaesthetic and will be unaware of anything while the surgery is being carried out.

Cataract operations can be carried out leaving little or no visible trace. The specialist performing the surgery makes a small opening in the eye and stitches are often not necessary. There is also no need for you to be concerned about being in an operating theatre for any length of time as most cataract operations last no more than 20 minutes. Following the surgery, you will have to wear a pad or protective shield over the eye to prevent any accidental damage while the eye is recovering.

Following the operation you may find that complete recovery can take a few months. Glasses may still be needed as the synthetic lenses that are used are normally for distance vision, so for reading or using a computer you may still have to use glasses. However, you should be aware that if you had glasses for distance vision then your prescription may have to be changed.

You will need to use eye drops for a few months after cataract operations and for a short while strenuous activity and severe weather conditions should be avoided, in order to allow the eye to adjust and heal.

The popularity of Lasik Laser eye surgery may leave you wondering if this would be an option, but you should be aware that it is not suitable for cataracts. However, if following surgery you suffer a thickening of the lens casing, laser surgery can then be used as an effective treatment.

If you are concerned that you may have cataracts then you should consult a medical professional, but there are a number of symptoms that you can look out for. The most common symptom is blurred vision, where everything you see appears hazy. You may also find that you are dazzled by bright lights, so may find it difficult to be out in the sunlight. Your ability to distinguish colours may also be affected. There are other conditions which can cause similar symptoms, such as dry and wet macular degeneration, and your optician will be able to rule out other possible causes.

A Description Of Disposable Underpads by Rudy Silva

There comes a time in a person’s life when he has to use disposable underpads. This time comes when he becomes old and slow to move. The elderly does not have to be a bedridden to use these pads. Most of the old folks require urination more frequent than during their prime years.

It would be to everyone’s advantage if they wear incontinence products such as incontinence underpants, disposable briefs, and adult diapers. Letting them wear any of these will ease their burden of getting up and going to the toilet.

This is particularly useful if the person is bedridden, or frail to be on his own. At night, even when the elderly are still able to stand and walk on their own, using these underpads save time and energy instead of relieving their incontinence in a toilet. It may also prevent them from accidents.

But the elderly folks are not the only persons who should make use of bed protectors. Anybody who has incontinence problems can. All over the world, women are inflicted with incontinence problems when they are in their forties. However, there are cases in which women as early as on their mid and late twenties are already suffering from an overactive bladder.

If you are among these who are afflicted with an overactive bladder or any types and causes of incontinence, no doubt you find the pads to be especially convenient particularly at night when you are not apt to get up and walk to your toilet to relieve yourself.

Even if you do not have incontinence or you have your own toilet in your bedroom, you may still find these disposable pads to be helpful. There are times in your life that you get carried away with in your dreams that you also gave in and relieved yourself on your bed.

Wetting the bed is very common even among children, teens and young adults. Hence, wearing the appropriate bedwetting products before bedtime and using a pad on the bed is a good solution. If your child is active, he may be more likely to wet his or her bed at night time. But, according to psychiatrists, living an active or not so active lifestyle has little to do with bedwetting.

If your child is special and needs special care and attention, having the underpads on your bed are among the healthcare items that you should never run out of.

Children and adults who have physical and mental disabilities do well with disposable diapers or disposable underpants most of the time. These items prevent them from making hassles and troubles, if they relieve themselves of their urinal and fecal wastes on their beds.

However, in choosing disposable underpads for you bed, you should consider the hypoallergenic quality of the cotton. These hypoallergenic pads prevent skin irritations.

Disposable underpads are a blessing especially to people who need them. They make life easier and more convenient.

Finding a Dentist for Your Family by Meredi Wagner-Hoehn

Sharing your home and life with a partner and children fills the schedule to overflowing. That’s why your dentist should be a family dentist.

You don’t need to spend your few spare minutes searching for a separate professional every time a new oral situation comes up. A family dentist specializes in various dentistry skills to better treat any condition which may arise. They've studied the same dental practices as a general dentist, but they offer services for all of your family members. A family dentist may not be a pediatric dentist, but they are a child dentist in that they treat children. They also treat parents, grandparents and cousins. A family dentist knows what to tell you about your child’s permanent teeth growing in; they also know how to construct dentures for your aging father. They provide not only the same procedures as a general dentist -- fillings, teeth cleanings, etc. -- but also procedures which apply specifically to different ages, such as a child's first dental appointment or a mother's root canal.

A family dentist touts a background in general dentistry and cosmetic dentistry, and they understand the necessary overlap of health and beauty. For example, they may offer Invisalign invisible aligners. These options, though they can be used on individuals of any age, may be most appealing to the teenager in your life. They combine the orthodontic needs of braces, straightening teeth, with the aesthetic beauty of clean teeth. Invisalign aligners provide the same service as braces; however, they’re practically translucent. Using a series of aligners, your Lakeway family dentist slowly and gently pushes your teeth into their ideal, straightened positions.

Your family dentist can not only straighten teeth, but also put in teeth that aren’t there. Implant dentistry allows your dentist to embed a metal screw where your root used to be and top it with a crown to substitute the empty space.

When looking for a family dentist in Lakeway, call Dr. Robert D’Alfonso, DDS. Offering full service dentistry procedures, Dr. D’Alfonso treats your entire oral condition and those of your family members. Call today to schedule your initial free consultation.

Tooth Extraction: Remove Your Problem Teeth by Meredi Wagner-Hoehn

Just the phrase “tooth extraction” sounds ominous. However, with modern medical technology, teeth extractions don’t need to be terrifying; in fact, delaying a tooth extraction is more detrimental to your health than simply making the dental appointment.

Why Do I Need an Extraction

A tooth extraction involves a qualified dentist removing a tooth from its socket in the bone. A variety of reasons exist which might force an individual into a tooth extraction; impaction, for example, occurs when a tooth tries to grow in without the room to do so. Impaction is the reason most wisdom teeth require dental extraction; they are naturally positioned to grow in without the space to grow into. Teeth which are too far decayed for restoration may require extraction. Also, if you’re undergoing a cosmetic dentistry procedure such as teeth straightening, unnecessary teeth may be extracted to make room for your ultimately ideal smile. This orthopedic dental procedure may involve traditional braces or cosmetically enhanced invisible aligners.

The Lakeway Tooth Extraction Process

Your dentist will likely suggest you not eat after midnight the night prior to the procedure. The extraction process generally requires an anesthetic, allowing you to be sedated during the actual extraction, not feeling pain nor remembering it later. Your dentist will disconnect the tooth’s tissue from the bone, then, piece by piece, extract the appropriate tooth. Occasionally, stitches are required. If so, they will either dissipate after a few days, or your dentist will schedule you for a follow-up to remove them.

Post-surgery, you will need a few days to heal. This is natural; clear your schedule for a few days to guarantee you’ll heal correctly. Your local dentist will prescribe you the necessary painkillers; you should supplement the pills with ice packs on your cheeks and propping your head up, to minimize the bleeding.

If you’re concerned about a tooth’s wellbeing, contact a qualified local dentist to discuss your options. For example, Dr. D’Alfonso, D.D.S., offers free consultations to new patients at his Lakeway dentistry practice, conveniently located just a few minutes west of Austin proper. Teeth Grinding: Symptoms, Consequences & Treatments by Meredi Wagner-Hoehn

If you wake up with jaw pain, headaches or facial swelling in the morning, you may be grinding your teeth at night. Bruxism, or teeth grinding, occurs when a person gnaws, gnashes or grinds their teeth together.

Why Do I Grind My Teeth?

Although bruxism can occur while sleeping or awake, people are generally unaware of the habit. It most frequently results from tension, anxiety or stress; because of this, it tends to occur when people’s attention is avidly diverted elsewhere, such as during an intense work project or a crucial final exam. However, the exact cause of bruxism has yet to be determined. Facial and oral trauma has been proven to have a connection to teeth grinding, as have poor nutritional intake and a lack of proper sleep.

Symptoms of Bruxism

Jaw pain, especially if it occurs immediately upon waking.

Cracked or chipped teeth. The bruxism can actually exert so much pressure that, eventually, back molars may crack.

Cracked fillings.

Trouble sleeping. If you have the habit of waking suddenly without being able to ascertain why, you may be grinding your teeth as you sleep. If you suffer from insomnia, talk to your Lakeway dentist about bruxism.

Facial swelling. After working your jaw muscles for an extended period of time, they may start to swell.

Headaches.

Swiftly disappearing canines. Although teeth grinding wears down teeth, it can be difficult to notice because it occurs over such a long period of time. However, the canines disappearing can be more noticeable. Take a look at your canines in the mirror, and ask yourself if they were always that short.

Consequences of Bruxism

Interrupt sleeping partners. Imagine waking up in the middle of the night to the love of your life biting at you. It can be terrifying, and not something a partner ever wants to repeat.

Wear down teeth.

Break molars.

Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorder. TMJ occurs whenever there’s an issue with the joints connecting the lower and upper jaw with the skull.

Treatments for Bruxism

Cut down on stress. Since stress tends to be the prime cause of teeth grinding, taking steps to calm and refresh yourself can eliminate bruxism without any external treatments.

Ask your Lakeway dentist about a mouth guard, also called a night guard. These guards provide a barrier between your teeth, so when you do gnash them together, it’s padded, minimizing damage.

Correct teeth alignment. Misaligned teeth can contribute to bruxism; straightening and repositioning teeth with Invisalign® or braces can erase the teeth grinding itself.

If you suspect you’re grinding your teeth, call your Lakeway dentist, Dr. Robert D’Alfonso, DDS, for an initial consultation.

Laser Facial Hair Removal: A Risk Less System Of Undergoing Unwanted Hair Removal by Andy Guides Jr

Laser hair removal is the perfect solution for those people that are seriously interested in being able to permanently remove hair from their bodies. This form of hair removal makes use of light energy that is emitted by lasers and which helps to remove any hair from the body that is not required to be there. When it concerns removing superfluous hair from the body the problem affects both men and women. If you have tried shaving or waxing or tweezing the hair and found that results are temporary at best; then you need to look to lasers which ensure much more long lasting results.

Laser hair removal can remove hair permanently from places where the hair is not wanted. However, people whose skin is light in color and whose hairs are dark will benefit the most from using this hair removal option. And, in addition, this hair removal method also works better with coarse hair than with other hair types.

When you opt for laser removal methods you will first need to shave off all the offending hair and then clean the affected area after which some anaesthetic cream needs to be applied. Next, it is time to apply the laser which means sending pulsed beams containing high amount of light that is then absorbed by pigments within the follicles of hair that need to be removed. When this takes place there is also some amount of damage to surrounding follicles and this is how it is possible to stop hair from growing in the treated area.

In most cases, the entire hair removal procedure (with lasers) will not cause any significant pain though you will feel a bit uncomfortable during the treatment. The treatment itself might be over in a few minutes though it can also last for an hour and perhaps even longer. The amount of time taken depends on the part of your body that is to be treated.

Once the treatment is over you may notice some amount of swelling and redness on the affected parts; but these will soon disappear and so is a minor problem. In fact, once the treatment is over you will be able to resume your normal activities without any pause.

In most cases, laser hair removal is not risky, especially when an experienced hand performs the procedure. There are however a few complications that can develop and these can take the form of skin turning dark or even light. Furthermore, the area that has been treated may also develop a few burns and blisters.

The general rule is that it will not take more than four to six different sessions for the entire treatment process to be concluded. You may repeat sessions after a month's interval. The cost of getting such treatment is not more than a couple of hundred dollars and how much you end up paying will depend on which area has to be treated.

Cooked Foods On A Raw Diet by David King

Does moving to a raw foods diet mean never eating hot food again? No, it doesn't. Sometimes you want something hot. Hot food has always signified comfort for many of us. And on a cold, rainy day, carrot sticks or wheatgrass juice probably won't cut it for most of us.

Most raw food, like our bodies, is very perishable. When raw foods are exposed to temperatures above 118 degrees, they start to rapidly break down, just as our bodies would if we had a fever that high. One of the constituents of foods which can break down are enzymes. Enzymes help us digest our food. Enzymes are proteins though, and they have a very specific 3-dimensional structure in space. Once they are heated much above 118 degrees, this structure can change.

Once enzymes are exposed to heat, they are no longer able to provide the function for which they were designed. Cooked foods contribute to chronic illness, because their enzyme content is damaged and thus requires us to make our own enzymes to process the food. The digestion of cooked food uses valuable metabolic enzymes in order to help digest your food. Digestion of cooked food demands much more energy than the digestion of raw food. In general, raw food is so much more easily digested that it passes through the digestive tract in 1/2 to 1/3 of the time it takes for cooked food.

Eating enzyme-dead foods places a burden on your pancreas and other organs and overworks them, which eventually exhausts these organs. Many people gradually impair their pancreas and progressively lose the ability to digest their food after a lifetime of ingesting processed foods.

But you certainly can steam and blanch foods if you want your food at least warm. Use a food thermometer and cook them no higher than 118 degrees Fahrenheit. Up to this temperature, you won't be doing too much damage to the enzymes in food.

Many people dont just eat raw foods for dietary or health reasons. The truth of the matter is that some people just purely enjoy the taste of fresh uncooked foods. We all can probably relate to this when we think about the sweet juicy taste of a fresh peach or the delicate buttery taste of white tuna sashimi. This is not to say that all uncooked foods taste like a peach or raw fish, because they don't. We all know that. The point is that eating uncooked foods provides us with the natural taste of the food we are eating. For some taste buds this can be very exciting, especially for those people that value the natural flavor of the bounty that life gives us. There is something to be said for the delectable pleasures of natural eating.
