Goodbye Tiredness, Hello Energy! by Chloe Wodard

A busy and active life between work or school, family, sports, hobby and other activities is not that easy to lead. Tiredness could hit you and you could lose your energy.

If tiredness persists, a change in your habits and routine is probably what you need to turn things around. A change in what you eat, how you move and do things and how you sleep may be all you need to fight tiredness and gain energy to power you through the day.

Here are some interesting tips that you can add in your routine so you can beat tiredness and gain and preserve your energy:

Rest

Listen to your body. If you feel that your body has reached a physical limit, then it's time for you to take a power nap. When you rest, your body will have the chance to renew energy.

Prioritize and Organize

Plan ahead, schedule and prioritize your activities to avoid fatigue. Don't do too much strenuous tasks and rest from time to time. Do the important activities first before you lose energy and delay the less significant ones if needed. Organizing your stuff will also help you prevent tiredness and save energy.

Go For a Power Snack

A healthy power snack will help you end the day energized and strong. Eat apple, berries, mixed nuts, non-fat yogurt and granola bar. Remember to drink a lot of water too to avoid dehydration.

Exercise

Exercise or do a physical activity regularly to stay fit and healthy. It will also makes you feel more energized and active. If you're physically active, you avoid the risk of having weight problems. It's hard to move when you're overweight, so you tend to exert more effort and energy, and thus get tired faster.

Control Your Caffeine Intake

If caffeine makes you alert and awake, make sure you use it wisely. A cup of coffee or a bottle of caffeinated soda is probably enough for you to have the energy you need to make it through the day.

Relax and Meditate

Meditation not only relaxes your body, but also your mind. If you used a lot of energy, take deep breaths and then meditate to regain energy faster.

Try Lavender Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy is relaxing and the lavender scent increases alertness. It's a good way to bust stress, beat tiredness and preserve energy.

Play A Game

Instead of watching TV, why not play an educational game to keep your mind working? This won't sap your energy like work stresses do.
